Selecting
the Best Technology
There are a variety of desktop tools available today that can create online
content in Windows Media, Real Audio, Flash or Java formats. Each has its
own strengths and weaknesses. Based on your needs and requirements, Coreography
can help you select the best authoring environment for your content. These
tools are typically available for an annual or one-time licensing fee and
no per presentation charges.
In general, Flash and Java solutions have the advantage whenever bandwidth
is a concern and provide easy integration with your own website look and
feel. If your content resides in PowerPoint, or slide animation synchronization
is important, Java is the best solution. If audio fidelity is most important,
Flash is a good solution. If your content is video intensive and bandwidth
is not a concern, then utilizing Windows Media or Real Audio can be effective.

Regardless of the authoring solution you select, bringing content creation
in-house can have a dramatic impact on your costs. The level of in-house
technical expertise will vary depending on the tool selected, but all will
provide cost savings versus outsourced providers and web seminar providers.
