Broadcast Quality
Coreography uses a set of proprietary production techniques and filters that ensure the highest-quality audio possible under any given condition.
Listening to higher quality audio is less fatiguing for your viewers, improves speaker clarity and presence, and reflects positively on your company and its brand.
Delivering high-quality audio starts with audio acquisition, and includes post-production optimization for web-based delivery. All source audio is captured in CD-quality wav audio format, where signal processing can be applied with the best result. Only after all optimization is complete, do we compress the audio for final delivery.
A significant advantage to this production technique is our ability to edit and re-purpose audio for multiple mediums. We can use live audio for on-demand replays or presentations, promotional out-takes, higher-quality podcasts, and even for delivery on CD-ROM.
Signal Acquisition
During audio capture, we apply the following to the audio path:
- Compression prevents distortion and maintains consistent presenter volume level
- Downward Expansion eliminates line noise, improving dynamic range
- Echo Cancellation is applied when capturing both local and remote signals simultaneously
- Gain Control boosts volume of softer speakers
Post Production
During post-production, we apply a series of custom filters that perform the following:
- Equalization and Dynamics Processing as required to improve overall sound and eliminate plosives (popping sounds) and sibilants (hissing)
- Noise Reduction used to eliminate background noise and intermittent noises (air conditioners, etc.) that are louder after normalization.
- Normalization brings all speakers to consistent loudness
- Time Compression is applied as required to change speaker pacing
We think you will appreciate the difference. We know your viewers will!
